I love my truck! I mean LLLOOOOVVEEEE my truck! She is just a little ford ranger and nothing very special but I love her the way people love their dogs. Most small repairs (spark plugs, sway bar links, radiator etc.) I do myself, I don't trust shops very much. So when the engine locked up after a snap in the timing belt (which had been replace less then two years ago by a shop I won't mention) I was devastated. I was waiting for the call that she was gonna have to go to scrap heaven. Instead, what I'm sure was hours of uncharged labor and diagnosis, she was fixed! Y'all I was on craigslist looking at new trucks, I cried, I was grumpy at work, I counted her down for the count. I can not tell you how amazing this experience has been. I have my wonderful little Verna Lee (that is her name) back!!! I bought her used and have replaced countless things but this has got to be multiple hands down the best shop experience IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD!!!! Super special thanks to Johnathan who had to deal with me calling all the time to check on my "child" . You were patience and took the time to explained everything step by step. GIVE THAT MAN A RAISE!!! I know it's out of the way for you south Austin people but......this Ford truck girl has a smile so big it could cure cancer. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I won't take Verna Lee anywhere else. Love, (yes that's right LOVE) Alley and Verna Lee

I've taken my mazda 3 and civic here for several years for all things auto from oil changes to major repairs. Honest and reliable service every time. I've also used their shuttle service many times - extremely helpful when you need a lift to work. Also very helpful is their available online tracking of all your service records. Tip: AAA discount

exceptional service and great prices, easily beats going to the dealership!

Before I finally got rid of my old 2007 Saturn Ion (replaced it with a 2012 Elantra yay! :)) ...I had so many problems with that stupid Ion. No one could find parts....no one could fix it properly....except these guys. They are quick and they don't charge you or try to talk you into purchasing parts or things you don't need. I am very glad my boss recommended them to me! I now take my new car to them for service...oil changes...etc. Love them!

I was very impressed with the recommendations for this automotive center so I took my car there. They were local and part of my community, which I have no problem supporting. I was sadly dissapointed in the service...dropped my VW Getta at 8am - told them the issue - they gentlemen seemed familiar with the issue on this car - common problem with this model. No communication via email or phone- I had to call them at 5pm! Passed from service provider to service provider to get an answer. Vague diagnosis - We think it is the water pump but we need to remove parts which will charge you $140 before we can diagnose the issue. Meaning - we did not look at the car! I had to go and pick up the car - no one even bothered to ask me why I was not going to give them my business or if there were any issues - they could have cared less!!

I think you tell a lot about a company about how they handle a warranty repair issue and in this arena, JC Autospec really proved why they deserve so many five star reviews. My son's rather old Buik Roadmaster needed a new a/c system, which they installed before a road trip he took to Dallas and Houston. On his way back from Houston, he got stranded in La Grange when the car would not start. I thought it may be a battery issue, but after various attempts at jumping it, he had the car towed a short distance to a local mechanic (and I drove out there to pick him up.) The La Grange mechanic looked at it and it turned out some clutch on the new a/c compressor had seized. This prevented the main belt from turning and is the reason the car would not start. The next day I spoke to JC Autospec and they had the car towed back to Austin and repaired without any quibble. We discussed whether they plan to get the warranty repair done in Round Rock or by the mechanic in La Grange. Towing it back for JC Autospec to do it, meant we did not have to drive back to La Grange again to pick it up, so they decided to do it that way. We get all our vehicles serviced by them and this experience certainly proved why it is good to stick with a company you can trust to deliver what they promise. Highly, highly recommended.

I owe these guys a huge debt of gratitude. These guys saved my life in a way they probably don't even know. About two years ago, I was barely scraping by month to month, still paying off a car that was a relic of a previous career. I finally had had it with going from temp job to temp job. After eating through all of my savings, my retirement fund, everything, I decided to sell all of my stuff and drive up to Maryland to stay with my sister and see if I could find a job up there. I couldn't sell the car because I was upside down on the payments. Literally the day before I was going to move, my car broke down (or rather came to halting stop on the I35 access ramp to be precise). I had $450 to my name. There was no way I was going to be able to fix anything that was wrong with it. Fortunately the tow guy recommended JC. It took a couple of days for them diagnose it, but turns out that my rear differential fluid had completely drained out due to a missing cap. It was going to cost a minimum of $2000. Here's where JC goes above and beyond. I kept all of my car maintenance records (in a rather jumbled mess) in my glove compartment. They went through my records and found a statement from Jiffy Lube a few months early saying that I had had my rear differential fluid replaced. They helped me go back and forth with Jiffy Lube and my insurance adjusters until finally Jiffy Lube agreed to come pick up the car and fix it for free. JC never charged me for any of it. In the meantime, I was sleeping on a friend's floor. During those two weeks, I got a call back from a place I had applied to almost a month previously. I had a job. I ended up moving into a great house with people who are now great friends. This whole story could have been very, very different. I really can't thank these guys enough.

I brought my car here to get some simple battery connections replaced. Apparently they were corroded and that is what had me walking to work one morning. Upon calling a tow truck... the guy who was nice enough to ck the wires first... diagnosed the problem and said they was no need to pay him since he didnt actually tow anything. nice to know there are still honest people around. That being said I found this place with reviews on Yelp. My bf and i dropped my car off and the next day my car was ready to go. The amount I was quoted is what I paid and they thew in my employer's discount without me having to ask for it (which I didnt even know I got) Nice... Also my bf mentioned that they were going to go over several things that needed to be addressed (in the future of course). Luckily, none of that took place. You hate when anyone tries to include things that arent necessary but again I dont mind you telling me what could potentially be done sometime in the future. Again my car is no spring chicken but its a Toyota and they last forever...or at least as close to forever as the car world will allow.

I just didn't like the fact that they wanted to charge me for the diagnostic, which I already had...I ended up going somewhere else where they fixed it and didn't charge me for that but their place does look really clean and decent and I'm sure they do a good job since it was packed

My husband and I have used Automotive Specialists in Round Rock several times within the past year and a half. They have always exceeded our expectations in regards to service, honesty and promptness. I've gone in by without my husband many times and they have never been condescending and I've never felt that I've been taken advantage of. We are thoroughly educated on what work they can/will do on the car before they start the process. I have and will continue to recommend them to anyone and everyone. I've lived in the Austin area for over 12 years and these guys are the best that I've used. I wish I had found them sooner.
