I came in the other day because my truck had a weird clanking sound. They told me they checked out EVERY SINGLE possibility and said it had to be something with the transmission. They told me they were going to charge me $800 to just drop the transmission (which is almost everyone's normal price). After dropping it, they found that it was the starter causing the problem, which I know doesn't need to have the transmission dropped. They then said they were going to check the flywheel to make sure it didn't get damaged, which is why "we still needed to drop the transmission." (That's one way, but that's a lie). They shouldn't have had to drop my transmission if it was the starter and they said that they checked everything in the first place and to check the fly wheel all they had to do was remove my starter and they would've had a way to see the it. After checking with my good friend and mechanic and another mechanic they also confirmed that they didn't have to drop my transmission and they could've done it the other way. They lied to me. And they still tried to make me pay $1,000 for a $300 problem. And also still tried to justify why they did it.
