As a.new arrival i didnt know the necessary items needed as well as the procedure to follow. There was a man and woman at the front desk both were very patient and informative as to the necessary procedures. I was.impressed by each individuals demeanor. I had issues with my car making a noise when the gas peddle was pressed and released. The mechanic found the problem and fixed it .I was told that I may have a faint noise from the other side. The faint noise became louder. I took the car back for a look. After taking the tires and many other parts off, they applied a lubricant and put everything back in place. As of today, no noise and they did not charge me for the dismantling, lubricants, and reassembling. I offered to pay and they said no. It's nice having a honest auto repair shop that doesn't take advantage of its customers, especially someone with no automotive knowledge. I will definitely refer my friends and family. Thank you!

I had a scheduled appointment for a car inspection. After 15 minutes of waiting, I asked the ill-mannered receptionist when my car would be inspected. She said it would be almost another hour because I was 10 minutes late for my appointment. I admit I was 2 minutes late - 2 minutes - and this ding-dong wanted to punish me! When I asked for my keys back, she said she was sorry for the miscommunication. What miscommunication? I had an appointment! This is a poorly managed operation. Won't ever go back.

Repaired my car quickly for a fair price.

The people here are honest and extremely helpful. Many times they don't charge me for the little extras that they do. From the reception staff to the mechanics, all the way up to the owner, I am always pleased with their work. They go above and beyond, and are always thorough and very polite. I have been going to this location for over two years and will always bring my vehicles here. Oh, yes, almost forgot to mention the wonderful coffee they have in the lobby!

I ordered 2 new tires from Tire Rack which delivered directly to Automotive Specialist. Scheduling the appt was easy and quick and when I arrived the service writer was very professional and the work was done quickly and at the quoted price with no up-sell pressure. Fantastic experience.

My entire extended family trusts Auto-Spec with all of our vehicles. I own a Mazda Miata and of course they are the absolute experts on Miatas. But these guys and gals are simply the best, most honest, friendly and knowledgeable folks in the auto repair universe, regardless of your make or model of vehicle. The service writer, Beth really knows her stuff and always has a warm smile and welcoming attitude toward each and every customer who enters the door. She and the entire staff truly personify the Long family's company mission of instilling and returning peoples' trust to the family mechanic.

I always try to be as careful as I can when going to the shop. Unfortunately I don't always have the best of luck when doing that. I am currently between mechanics so I have been trying out some of the shops in the area. This time I tried out John Longs. I called them asking if I could bring my own parts, as I know that it would be cheaper. I told them that I would buy a power torque clutch and flywheel kit from O'Reilly's which would cost 570.99 before tax They told me that I could do that but they would not recommend it because the Powertorque kit is not the best quality, and it wouldn't be under warranty. They would put a better one on that would last longer. So I agreed and they went on to work on the truck. I later came by to pick up the truck and saw what part was on the Invoice, the same O'Reilly clutch and fly wheel kit that they had told me not to buy, But this time it was 905.31 before tax. I'm not saying that these guys are a bad business I'm just here to warn about parts mark ups.
