i have been in the automotive business for 27 years and one cant satisfy every person out there. some people simply just want something free. when you tell them something other than what they want to hear then YOU'RE the bad guy. i have been everywhere from dealerships to private owned shops and you get the same thing. of course sometimes there are some mistakes but if you give people the benefit of a doubt they will correct it. the automotive repair industry is not a drive thru McDonalds. these vehicles become more and more complex throughout the years. so just a little advice for the future - have patience when it comes to your automove repair, EVERYONE's life depends on it. A MECHANIC'S JOB IS NEVER DONE.

Our family has been using Automotive Specialists for about 10 years now. They have helped us with Volvos, Toyotas, Hyundais and Fords. We return time and time again because they are trustworthy and do consistently excellent work and stand by the work that they do. As an example, we recently took our 2005 Hyundai Sonata to the Hyundai dealer to diagnose a potential electrical issue, and once they were finished, they provided us with a $5,500 estimate to do a wide range of things that included "safety" issues. We paid them $99 for the "diagnosis" and promptly took the car to Automotive Specialists. They came up with a very different assessment and cost ($1,500). After we told them that we were going to get rid of the car after 6-9 months, and really did not want to "invest" much more money in the car, they recommended that we forewent the repairs altogether, reassured us that there were no safety issues, and they charged us nothing for the diagnosis. They literally saved us $5,500! A special call out to Ray and Mike at the front desk too...they are always incredibly helpful and personable...they are the faces of Automotive Specialists.

This is the ONLY place my family uses! Period. What more can we say.

These guys are honest! Brought my 2011 Prius in for a check because I thought new brakes were in order. They fixed the noise my brakes were making, told me I didn’t need new brakes and didn’t charge me a dime! Highly recommend.

I have been taking my cars and my wife's car to them for service for several years now. I enjoy working with both of their service advisors -- Ray and Mike. They have always done a good job, never asked me to do services that I don't need, and have even suggested I not do certain services that would be too early or a waste of money. I believe their pricing is reasonable, and they always provide detailed explanations for anything I ask of them (and I ask a lot of questions because I like to learn and want to know). They were introduced to me many years ago by my good friend, Mike. I feel truly blessed to know and have an independent shop that I trust. It's like selecting a spouse -- if you find a good one, you'll be happy for life. I am happy with Auto Spec.

I recently took my truck to the Round Rock location of Automotive Specialist and couldn't be more pleased with the service. I had them complete the 100K mile service on my truck and they came in $500 lower than the dealership. Additionally, they completed the work in one day and even went so far as to straighten out my front sway bar without an extra charge. I've been recommending them for years, and I will continue to send everyone their way. Keep up the great work!
