I got in very quickly, work was done on time and the estimate was spot -on. The folks there are super nice, I got a ride home, and the work done fixed the issues. The only negative is that their prices were slightly higher than competitors, but they are close to my home and trustworthy, so I pay it.

On 5/27 I received a vehicle that had Clutch/Trans/Diff work (new twin disc clutch install, slave cylinder, Pilot bearing, differential flush) performed by Automotive Specialist in Georgetown in March of 2022. The vehicle had noticeable issues, so I reached out to the shop that had performed the work less than 60 days ago to inquire about warranty. I was told they warranty their work - initially. I paid to have the vehicle towed to their shop and I was then told well we won’t warranty the clutch as it was a customer provided part. I work in the automotive industry as well, so this wasn’t extremely abnormal to me. What was abnormal was that I THEN asked, well given the nature of the event (so close in time, and not coincidentally giving issues now) if they would at least take a look back at the vehicle if I paid for it. They told me yes, then the next morning I was called and told verbatim “we’re not interested in the job”. I asked to speak to the manager because I was perturbed at someone 1) not willing to check their own work 2) telling me they didn’t want my money because at this point I was again a paying customer. After paying to have the vehicle towed (again) away from there, the current shop pulled the MT82 to find the clutch was literally installed backwards.. the clutch issue was caused by improper installation by this shop. I’m not mad, but I want customers to know that if you’re expecting something that’s not the basics (the car is supercharged and making more power thus has a twin disc clutch) this is likely not the correct shop. Also, they don’t seem to be very keen on standing behind the work they do, which is what leaves the bad taste for me. See photos for reference. Hopefully this experience helps someone Best of luck!

Sorry but we can not warranty customer supplied parts. We talked to our customer that traded in the car and he was happy with the job we did, and the clutch was working good for him and was in good working order when he traded it in. The parts in the pictures that were posted were clearly abused causing failure and were installed correctly

dropped my car off here today. at almost 9AM. They never called to update me on my car, called them at 2:00PM, and got told the technician wouldn’t start to work on my car till two hours later. And that i would get a call from them. Called at 4:48, and get told they would call back, and let me know when my car would get looked at. They close at 6PM. Went and picked up my car at 5:15PM. my car has been sitting in the same spot since 9AM. Smh. Never got phone calls or updates, had to call myself and got the run around. will not be back, i’ll go to nissan.

We have no Lala Autumn in our system. If the car was in on a different name I would like to know so I can find out what went wrong and fix it so the next customer will not have to go through your inconvenience. We have had a large increase in work load and have had difficulty finding new staff, both situations have reviled some short comings in our communication with customers which we are aware of and are desperately trying to correct. I am very sorry this happed and will try and do better

Friendly people who don't know what they doing. We brought our vehicle in to have our A/C fixed, they said it was the evaporator they replaced it and charged a boatload for doing it. It was dead again in under 6 months. We took it back, this time it was a Schrader valve and more money. It failed in less than a day. Back again and now it was everything else compressor, condenser, lines, ect and no promises. We were done with the incompetent guessing and took it another shop the next day, it was the high pressure line, cheap and done in a day plus best of all icy cold ever since. The guys at Auto-Spec were useless and a waste of time and money. It is clear they had no idea how to even diagnose the problem let alone fix it and never should have said they could.

At Auto-Spec we stand behind all our work and diagnosis. I wanted to reach out and see if we could make this right. However I do not find your name in our data. I also can not find any work orders with the description of the work you described. So I'm not sure you have the right shop, however If it was us and there is the possibility of us making things right, please reach out to myself (John Long) thank you

Efficient, professional, and kind service. We've had several problems fixed across multiple vehicles since moving here and they've done high quality work with a great attitude. We've asked them for advice on problems and they've given us straight, solid advice, even when it meant losing money. We've been really happy with these guys! 3rd year working with Auto spec and they just get better every year.
